Feed a family of five on a freelance writer's income? It's possible. Local freelancer Tim Beyers has been doing it for years. And while there's no easy path to success -- freelancing demands a seven-day-a-week commitment to writing, querying and simplifying the jobs of overworked editors -- Beyers says there are many tools for boosting income that writers overlook. He'll introduce you to them in this half-day class. You'll learn about serial queries (i.e., having the next story in mind even as you query the first), rewards administrators (i.e., friends or family who reward you for success), and the basics writing more than you do now, tips for developing more and better queries, and advice for making yourself indispensable to editors.

Tim Beyers is a professional freelance writer who has been a regular contributor to The Motley Fool since 2003. He is also the co-creator of Editorchat on Twitter and curator of The Freelance Writer?s Helper. INK - the urban fantasy feature film opens in Fort Collins! After an incredible 8-week run in Denver, this Colorado-shot film comes heads North.

"It's a Wonderful Life" meets "Sin City" in this high-concept visual thriller. John and Emma, Father and Daughter, are thrust into a dream-world battle between forces of good and evil. A battle for the soul of a broken man ensues in this allegorical tale of love, loss and the search for redemption.

This film was produced by a 2000 CSU College of Business graduate. The Director, Producer and Director of Photography will doing Q&A after the 7:30 p.m. screening on Friday, May 22nd. The Director and Producer will return on Thursday, May 28th for a CSU College of Business / Summit Student Investment Fund reception, screening and Q&A.
