Tonight's speaker is Dan Burden, an internationally recognized authority on livable and sustainable communities, healthy streets, traffic calming and bicycle and pedestrian programs. He is co-founder and executive director of the non-profit Walkable and Livable Communities Institute located in Port Townsend, WA.

Lambda Community Center's Community Garden Plot at the Gardens on Spring Creek provide a place to build community, educate/learn from, and feed the GLBTIQ population of Northern Colorado. All community members are welcome to our discrimination free events. We meet every Wednesday morning at 9 am to weed the 12x15 plot in company, talk about whatever comes up and to socialize with other gardeners in the community plots.
Anyone is welcome to join us, even if you know nothing about gardening! Wear weather appropriate clothing and bring a trowel or shovel if you have one and a pair of gloves.
Lambda Community Center (LCC)seeks to be a resource center for the GLBTIQQA (Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual, Transgendered, Intersexed, Queer, Questioning and Ally) community in northern Colorado, through education, outreach, advocacy and collaboration.

The "Consumption" exhibition features images by photographers from around the world, juried by Brian Paul Clamp, Founder and Director of CLAMPART gallery in New York. The images raise provocative questions about human needs and desires and the effect that they have on themselves and the environment.

The four-class series will provide a complete roadmap for how to conceive, research and write a narrative nonfiction piece from beginning to end. Instructor Greg Campbell is a published author of three nonfiction books (and a fourth in development) and 20-year journalist who specializes in narrative nonfiction. His writing has been described as being like "PJ O'Rourke's more serious younger brother" and as having "a persona that's half Jimmy Stewart, half Indiana Jones."

Shot from 1981 through 2004, artist, Joy Wulke's photography exhibit, "The Great Alone" documents the natural degeneration of the Bear Creek Schoolhouse in Two Dot, Montana. The effects are enhanced by installations of windblown silk and light receptive placements of bones found on the MacFarland/White Ranch where the schoolhouse resides.
