While many plans establish a wish list for future development (including a high school, community park, commercial center and employment center, the time to refine this vision is now, not later. Senior planner, Pete Wray will take you along East Vine Drive, Timberline Rd, Mountain Vista Dr, and around the Anheuser Busch Brewery to share the how and why behind this area's future.

Van departs from the city hall's south parking lot at 300 Laporte Ave.

Bee Family Centennial Farm Museum Open House

The Bee Family Farm Centennial Museum is opening to the public on Friday and Saturdays, May - October. Come visit the museum for a glimpse into the history of farming in Larimer County. The museum provides hands-on activities for children, and the gift shop offers a number of unique, handmade crafts.

There are also trolley rides around the farm from 11am to 2pm. Cost is $1 per person ages 3 and up.

The Bee Family Centennial Farm Museum is located on the east side of I 25 just south of Wellington. From I 25 south, take exit 271 (Mountain Vista to the East Frontage Rd. Go North to Cty Rd 58, then .25 miles east
From the north (Wyoming), take exit 278 to East frontage Rd, Go south 2 miles to Cty Rd 58, then .25 miles east.

Course Description:
Participants will explore construction of pinhole cameras from boxes which participants bring; pre-made pinhole cameras which they may have, and available boxes in the class; a brief background on pinhole camera history; and receive an introduction to understanding of pinhole camera angle of view, focal length and its effect on exposure.

Participants will explore ?

* Construction of pinhole cameras from boxes which participants bring; pre-made pinhole cameras which they may have, and available boxes in the class.
* Brief background on pinhole camera history
* Introduction to understanding of pinhole camera angle of view, focal length and its
effect on exposure
* Pinhole making with needles and .002 Brass shim
* Pinhole critique: size, roundness, sharpness, etc.
* Exposure basics explained: Light, Aperture (pinhole), recording surface, Time
* Around the Center shooting
* Collective critique of each session?s pinhole experiences.

Each Participant will need:
Ilford Multi-Grade RC surface 8x10 paper (Pearl, Matt, or Satin surface), a watch,
perseverance and a spirit of adventure.

FCMOCA will present an exhibition of the paintings of Al Wynne and the ceramic sculptures of his wife, Lou. The exhibition was organized by the Kirkland Museum of Art in Denver. Al Wynne is one of the most important abstract painters in the Western United States. Lou has become known for the castle-like towers and the bowls on stilts she forms using hand built techniques.

Leap of Faith Fine Art Gallery is now taking submissions for our Grand Opening event on May 1, 2009! We're located in Old Town at 148 W. Oak St, Suite C next to the Taj Mahal. We are looking for original art in any medium, any style and any subject except jewelry and clothing.

Our Mission: To promote artists and contribute to the quality of art and culture in our community and beyond.

Entry Requirements: Open to all U.S. Residents. All art must be for sale and ready for display. Eligible artwork may be paintings, drawings, photography, digital, sculpture and ceramics. All entries will be considered.

Deadlines: All entries must be postmarked by Friday, April 17. Winners will be notified either by telephone or email. Delivery to the gallery is the responsibility of the artist and must be delivered on or before April 30.

Chosen entries: A limited number of entries will be chosen to be displayed in the gallery. Among those chosen, one winner will be decided by public vote. Cash award is determined by the number of entries. Length of display will be from Grand Opening until June 30.
