Event Description:
Poudre School District Hosts Third Annual City-Wide Theatre Festival
A Unique Opportunity for Area Students to Collaborate in Theatre Arts!

The Poudre School District Theatre Festival is the unique opportunity for all Fort Collins students in grades 7 through 12 who are interested in theatre arts to meet in the same place and the same time for one full day. Together in a spirit of collaboration and support, students from all areas of the city will share their talents, learn from professional artists, receive feedback on their work, and experience quality educational theatre through workshops and live performances.

In response to a need for more collaborative inter-district activities, especially in the arts, area high school theatre teachers have planned a theatre festival to encourage and enliven theatre students from all of our high schools and middle schools. We are proud to present the 3rd Annual Theatre Festival February 27th from noon to 9:30 pm at Fossil Ridge High School. With the support of the Bohemian Foundation and PSD Foundation, the Festival is featuring workshops with theatre professionals from the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, Paragon Theatre Company, University of Northern Colorado, Canyon Concert Ballet and more! A special evening performance will feature students from all area high schools along with a special performance of Openstage Theatre Company?s The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams.

Advance registration is $20; day-of registration $25; includes workshops, all performances and dinner. Scholarships are available. There are three ways to register: 1.) online at www.showtix4U.com. 2.) By mail: download a brochure from www.poudretheatre.org and send in the mail by February 19. 3.) Door registration at Fossil Ridge High School begins noon on February 27 for $25. Evening show-only tickets are available for $5. Evening show-only performance begins at 8 p.m.
