One of the most important and innovative contemporary glass sculptors on the international art scene will exhibit a number of his signature glass installations at the Fort Collins Museum of Art, beginning Aug. 6. The masterpiece exhibition, Myth, Object and the Animal: William Morris Glass Installations is the first major showing of the artist’s work in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region. Co-presented by FCMOCA and Beet Street, the exhibition runs through Nov. 5.

William Morris is a renowned glass designer who began his career as a glass blower in the studio of Dale Chihuly, world-celebrated master glass craftsman and artist. Morris also is an avid outdoorsman, who as a young man growing up in Northern California, became interested in native culture and archeology, which hold great influence on his creative expression.
